Synopsis:

Keyboard version updated to look similar to an EPS (moved disk drive, new graphics, etc). Expansion port was swapped for pseudo-stereo outputs (even/odd voices are assigned to opposite outputs). In addition to sampling, the Mirage family features the ability to transfer ESQ-1 sounds and sequences via MIDI for disk storage. The "Input Sampling Filter" cartridge (requiring MASOS disk) allowed 50kHz sampling and included a 7 pole input filter. Architecture Class: Sampler.

The Ensoniq Mirage DSK-1 is a velocity sensitive (pressure via MIDI) 61 key (8 voice), 8 bit sampler, featuring 24dB low pass analog filter, dedicated APDSR filter and amp envelopes, dedicated filter and amp envelopes, vibrato, single track real-time sequencer, and MIDI. Sample memory (2x64kB) can contain up to 8 upper and 8 lower waveforms, recorded at 10-33kHz. Sample editing includes rotate (additional editing with MASOS disk). Samples can be stored via a 3.5" SSDD disk drive.
