Proformance
Piano Modules
Overview The Proformance and Proformance Plus are simple preset sample replay modules that are packed full of stereo 16-bit 39kHz Piano instruments. The Plus model has 15 additional presets which cover Vibes, Organ and Bass as well. Both units run from an external 9VAC power supply.
Filters & FX There are none.
Controls The Proformance has five front panel controls.
- Volume A rotary volume control.
- Fine Tune A centred rotary control for adjusting the Proformances pitch to your dodgy old piano.
- Transpose A click rotary switch to select transpositions in semitones over an octave range.
- Midi Channel A rotary switch to select MIDI channel number.
- Preset 15 presets can be selected with this rotary switch.
Verdict Nice basic piano sounds, which went down well at the launch price in the early 1990's. Still a good source of sounds, but only if you are on a really tight budget or want a small module. Totally eclipsed by more recent modules.
Advantages: Small and easy to use.
Disadvantages: Outdated sounds.

Re-Initialize
All the presets are held in ROM and there are no RAM presets. There is no facility to re-initialize the module.
